heater on at idle and will not blow warm air. when moving it blows the warm air from the vents. what will cause this
Your front blower motor has gone out. There is a front and a rear blower motor.
The a/c - heater controller is out...........
most likely it's a bad thermostat, or your vents not working properly.
Vent bypasses heater core when open,it is for outside air only...I know this because I just replaced heater core.
The steam could be coolant from a bad heater core.
You have a broken vacuum hose under the hood that supplies the switch.
The heater may not be on - but the fan still blows air through the vents when they're open !
if the heater does not blow out warm air change the setting.
perhaps because the engine running heats coolant that cycles through the heater core and has air blowing across the aluminum to exchange the heat into the air that is forced through the vents
If the AC and heater in a 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada are only blowing air through the defrost vents and not into the cabin vents, it could be due to a malfunctioning mode door actuator. This actuator controls the airflow direction and may be stuck or broken, preventing proper airflow to the cabin. Additionally, a vacuum leak in the HVAC system can also affect the distribution of air. It's advisable to have the HVAC system inspected to determine the exact cause and resolve the issue.
Yes. The heater core provides the heat which blows out your vents. The heater core has engine coolant flowing through it (it is like a mini radiator) which creates the heat which warms the air that comes out your vents. If you have low coolant, there may be no coolant circulating through heater core, thus causing cold air to blow out vents.
